Fr. Ron Rolheiser, OMI, is a member of the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate. He is a theologian, professor, and award-winning author, and serves as president of the Oblate School of Theology in San Antonio, Texas.
Repent & Believe the Gospel – Jesse Manibusan, MA
Jesse Manibusan, MA, is a singer, songwriter, catechist, storyteller, humorist and evangelizer based in Alameda, California. A fulltime event presenter, Manibusan also volunteers at St. Benedict Catholic Church in Oakland.

Laudato Sí – Care for Creation – Br. Keith Douglass Warner, OFM, PhD
Br. Keith Douglass Warner, OFM, PhD, serves as Director of the Franciscan Renewal Project for the Franciscan School of Theology at the University of San Diego. Br. Keith teaches, writes, and leads presentations on Franciscan eco-spirituality and the encyclical Laudato Sí. With Sr. Ilia Delio OSF and Pamela Wood, he is co-author of “Care for Creation: A Franciscan Spirituality of the Earth” (Franciscan Media).
The Priesthood – Fr. Rudy Ruiz
Fr. Rudy Ruiz is retired and lives in San Jose. Throughout his long ministry as a priest, he has been the pastor of several parishes in the Diocese of Monterey. He was born and raised in Parlier, one of the poorest communities in the Central Valley. His parents picked apricots seasonally in Hollister. Fr. Rudy keeps busy in retirement by helping parishes as a visiting priest and gives talks and retreats.
Meeting Christ in the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius Loyola – Rev. Scott Newman, DMin
Rev. Scott Newman, DMin, is the Associate Pastor at Santa Cruz Bible Church. He has a Doctor of Ministry degree in Contemplative Spirituality and Mission. The Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius Loyola are part of his ministry. In his 20 years of ministry, Scott has come to see that there is nothing more important than to experience and be formed by the love of Jesus.
What is a Deacon? Word, Charity, and Justice – Dcn Randofo Pozos, PhD
Deacon Randolfo Pozos, PhD, serves at Holy Cross parish in Santa Cruz. He spends much of his ministry in working with immigrants, refugees, and asylum seekers. He also works in environmental justice. Over the years he has been active in cross-cultural ministry. He has graduate degrees in public health, anthropology, and pastoral ministry.
Living in the Sacred Heart: Mind, Body, and Spirit – Daniel Olivieri, MDiv BCC
Daniel Olivieri, MDiv, BCC, is a lay Catholic chaplain at Dominican Hospital in Santa Cruz, CA. He is Board Certified by the National Association of Catholic Chaplains (NACC). He practices an interfaith, patient-centered ministry that honors the faith, beliefs, and values of each person.
The Eucharist – Dcn Patrick Conway, MDiv
Deacon Patrick Conway, MDiv, is pastoral associate at Resurrection Parish, overseeing faith formation, outreach, liturgy, and music. He also collaborates with several interfaith groups, including COPA, Dayenu Climate Change, and Santa Cruz Interfaith. Additionally, Deacon Patrick is a spiritual director, trained in the Spiritual Exercises of Saint Ignatius of Loyola.
